Comments: I received the set of pipes within a few days, each piece was carefullywrapped to ensure that the pipes arrive in good condition. The first impression was the outstanding finish, from the combs and beads
to the hemp retainers (always a good surprise)I tried the pipes on a synthetic bag and a sheepskin bag. I have to say Iwas really impressed by the drone sound volume, especially with the sheepskin bag. Bright tenors and deep bass drone sound, blended very wellwith my chanter. I tried the pipes with RedWood and cane reeds. In both cases, they fittedvery well in the pipes, a real 'plug and play' feeling.
Well done!

Comments: I met Derek Marr on my trip to Scotland two years ago. He graciously allowed me to tour his bagpipe making facilities. It was easy to see that he was a gifted wood turner who loved making pipes. I really like the look of wood grain so I chose the antique style of pipes. They arrived properly packaged looking great. The outside is
as slick and smooth as the bores. Great sounding drones.

Comments:  The tone is big and well integrated. The bass and tenors blend very well with each
other, but they are still distinguishable. It's a lovely pipe to get up on your
shoulder, with plenty of overtones to blend with the chanter. A good, but not
overbearing, ring is easily heard coming off the tenors. Overall, a very supportive
backdrop to any chanter with enough volume to be audible even with the loudest
chanters. The drones also lock in very easily, a breeze to tune. I want one of my
own!
